Product Review: The Honest Kitchen’s “Nice Mussels”
Disclosure: We received a complimentary bag of Nice Mussels in exchange for our honest opinion in this review. As always, we only sample items that fit with our lifestyle and from companies that encourage genuine feedback in reviews.
The Honest Kitchen’s “Nice Mussels” qualifies as one of our new favorite dog treat names in the world! They are yummy 100% human grade freeze dried blue & green mussels. They’re sustainably farmed in New Zealand and are full of Omegas 3s.
In Nice Mussels, nutrients abound. They’re chock full of protein (65%), have at least 7% omegas (EPA/DHA/Omega-3’s), both of which support healthy skin & coat for our furry friends. Did we mention NO preservatives? Each bag has exclusively blue and green mussels. Nothing more, nothing less.
Ok, so they sound great right? But do the furkids like them? YES! It took Liv and Enzo both a few minutes to acclimate to the dry texture and smell (they smell a bit fishy), but once they got a taste, there was absolutely no turning back. At 1.5″‘ish long, they are perfectly sized for their bed-time treat.
