Meet the Crazies

Pups:

rescue cherubOlivia (Liv) was rescued together from the streets of Gilbert, AZ by Friends for Life Animal Rescue.  She was found with her biological sister Sparkle, covered in mats & ticks.  They were ultimately adopted into separate homes but since their Moms are now friends, they still get together regularly for playdates & adventures!

Liv is a sweet, (initially) timid 6yo 6.5lb fluffy blend. She could be yorkie, havanese, morkie, shih-tzu… all of whom are frequently guessed.  She (along with Mom) are at the center of the Crazy that is our rescued family.

Murphy was rescued off the streets of Mesa, AZ, also by Friends for Life Animal Rescue. He was a skinny, grumpy, matted mess, but after only a handful of days in foster with Mom, she knew he was going to stay forever.  He’s now 7yo, and is likely almost 100% shihtzu. He is a CHARACTER and despite being a happy guy these days, he still grumbles and whines 75% of the time, just for fun.

snow muttEnzo is the youngest of the crazy crew, and is a 5yo blue-eyed ‘who knows’ mutt! He came to Friends for Life from the Humane Society of Yuma, where he was an owner surrender at 9mos. He is the sweetest, goofiest All American pup we could ask for. He grows daily and loves running the trails with his furriends.

Sonny is the most recent addition to the Crazy Crew, joining us in March of 2019.  We first met Sonny in 2016 when he fostered with us for 3 months prior to being adopted into what we thought was his forever home.  He was returned to Friends for Life in the summer of 2018, after which he was placed again in a potential forever home.  After 9 months, it was clear that he believed his forever home to be back with the crazy crew, and upon his final return to the rescue… we picked him up to stay… forever.  He knew long before we did that Mom was his lobsta.

Kitties:

  • Romeo (13yo ragdoll/siamese blend) – Tami’s heart kitty (thinks he’s a dog)  Read more…
  • Juliet (13yo med hair domestic) – the cranky, cranky kitty  Read more…
  • Aliekat (6yo lynx point siamese) – aka the cross-eyed houdini

Our Guardian Angels:

  • Daisy (2006-2016) – A beautiful neapolitan mastiff, and the original pup of the family, we lost Daisy in December of 2016 when an unexpected and traumatic bloat episode took her at 10.5yo. She was the sweetest, goofiest & most neurotic mastiff you’ve ever met, and we miss her daily.
  • Cookie (1998-2018) – Cookie was a brown tabby that came to us at 14yo when her original owner died and she was in desperate need of a patient foster family to help her transition. After 9mos of transition time, she finally integrated to the family and lived out the rest of her days with us. She lived to the ripe old age of 19.5yo and has undoubtedly been re-united with her original owner at the rainbow bridge.
  • MacBeth (2009-2019) – A stunning lady gouldian finch, Mac was a rescue that graced us with his songs for 7 long years.
